Our Story
Leonard Ng Wei Tat was born on the 13th day of July 1986. The son of an ink-maker(father) and of a teacher(mother), he grew up a dunce in his studies. Exacerbating this, his overweight build and his terrible approach in dealing with the opposite sex led to many early-life misadventures. This changed after NS and university when a curious spirit and a general disregard for his own well-being saw him climb mountains, ride horses and embark on a 6 month-long exchange program in Kazakhstan. Not wanting the party to end he came back to Singapore to continue his licentious lifestyle. Many girlfriends later, he met who he perceived to be one of the most annoying pedants on a matchmaking roller-blading trip.
After graduating from SMU with a Bachelors in Political Science, Leonard joined his father in the ink business, playing with colours and blowing things up. In 2014, he decided to become a qualified chemist by pursuing a masters program at the University of Leeds in Chemistry, leaving his girlfriend behind in the process. These days he leads a monastic lifestyle conducting Frankenstein-like experiments in a laboratory as part of his Ph.D. program in the University of Cambridge.
-Leonard’s Story
Low Xin Pei was born on the 17th day of July 1985. The eldest in the family of three children, she was hardworking and a whizz at her studies. She pretty much destroyed her competition when it came to the PSLE, ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels and made it to all the top schools. She attributes her success to her parents never-wavering belief in ‘use the rod, beat the child’. Despite spurring her like the proverbial horse, this philosophy had one major drawback. Any physical violence inflicted, was amplified as she defended herself against the hordes of boys at Maha Bodhi Primary. Nary was there a boy in her class that escaped the vice grip of her opposing thumbs and fingers.
Unlike Leonard, Xin Pei was incredibly sporty. She shunned skirts and was often in the sun, charring her already deep-rich naturally tanned skin. Her first boyfriend came in JC and her last many years later in 2013 on a rollerblading match making trip.
Xin Pei graduated from NTU with a degree in accountancy and worked as an auditor in PWC for 5 years. She then joined her uncle’s company as a mergers and acquisitions broker where she now makes a lot more money than her partner-to-be.
